Special Event

If you missed out on the first batch of these kits, now is your chance to pick one up! Due to the wonderful kindness of COSI, Ohio Library Council and The State of Ohio, we have received STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) kits to give out to our patrons.  These will be available for free  in very limited supply and on a first-come-first-served basis.  We will not hold any or put any aside for anyone. These kits contain many small parts with detailed reading and experiments.

If you were one of the awesome people that picked up a tiny canvas, remember that they are due back by today at 3 pm. Please call with questions.

It's a big day and one that both staff and patrons look forward to each year! All of our Christmas and holiday books and movies that are stored away will be available on our shelves starting today.  We have all of the old favorites and classics that will bring a smile to your face and remind you of past Christmases.  We also have so many new books and movies for you to enjoy this season.  Be sure to stop in soon to see all that we have to offer.  

Join us for an hour of learning and exploring the online resource, Canva.  Did you know that there's a no-cost version that allows you to do many projects for free? As a beginner, there are so many Canva options that it can be overwhelming.  Join Canva expert, Valorie, as she takes you through setting up a free account and shows you all that the site has to offer. This great resource can help you with the upcoming holidays as you can make gift tags, ornaments, cards and more!

Be sure to stop by and see us during Centerburg's Trick-or-Treat from 5:30 - 7:00.   We always love seeing all of your costumes and we will be giving out some yummy treats while our supplies last!

Today is the Annular Eclipse Day!  Stop by to see what Space Surprises we have for you!

Join us all this week for special events and activities that lead up to the Annular Eclipse on Saturday, October 14th.

Attend any event and just ask to receive a pair of eclipse glasses (one pair per person and supplies are very limited). Because there will be another eclipse in April 2024, we ask that you keep your eclipse glasses in a safe spot so that you may use them again for that eclipse. 

Space Week Events:  Monday, 10/9     Space Storytime 11 am & 6 pm

Special events and activities each day this week to celebrate the upcoming eclipse! Attend any Moon Week event and just ask to receive special eclipse glasses (limit 1 per person--supplies are very limited). 

Monday 4/1/24: Space Storytimes 11 am & 6 pm and Space Race (all day).  Space Race is a scavenger hunt to find all that you need to travel to space! Space Race will be going on the entire week.

We will be participating in the community's Dog Days of Summer event! The majority of the event will take place in Bell Park (across from the gazebo and right beside Scissor Shack), but for our treat we ask that you stop in at the library between 10-3 to pick up a take-home dog (or cat) magnet kit.  Supplies are limited.

School picture days create memories that last a lifetime. Celebrate this day by stopping by the library to see staff school pictures on display.  Today, show us any of your school pictures from time-gone-by to receive a special treat! All ages are encouraged to participate!
