This year's Summer Reading Program celebrates space and all the wonders of the universe. It also celebrates the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. The program begins on June 3, 2019 and no registration is necessary. Ages 0-99 are invited to participate. There are lots of great prizes that can be won including gift cards and King's Island tickets.
Join us for some space and science fun as we learn about comets. Chad Ruhl, Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist and Richland County Astronomical Society member, will joining us to "Cook Up a Comet." This activity will give insight into the "dirty snowball" model of comets. We will see how comets can be composed of material from the early solar system in the form of frozen water and gases, simple organic compounds and dust.
Kids of all ages are invited to bring their dad or other special person for donuts, Tim Horton's coffee and fun activities. The event is free and will be in our meeting room on Saturday, June 15th from 10-11 a.m. Hope to see you there!
