This year's Summer Reading Program was a huge success! There were almost 500 participants and 7,762 items were checked out. Both of these numbers far exceed last year's totals! We also are seeing many new families at the library. We love seeing our regulars but are super excited to see new people come in to get library cards.
There's still plenty of summer left to get an early start on your AR goal for the upcoming school year! We have so many great books and we can assist you in finding out the reading level for them. So stop in and get some reading done before heading back to school in August.
Just because the Summer Reading Program is drawing to a close that doesn't meant you should stop reading! We continue to get new books frequently and you might be surprized that we probably have the book you have been wanting to read. Going on vacation? Stop in to find a great book to take along!
Janet Chandler, Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist, will be giving a presentation about healthy streams and rivers on Thursday, July 18 at 6:30 pm. There will be lots of information and time for discussion, too. This free event is sponsored by the Knox County Park District and the Knox County Cooperative Extension Service.
