We are beyond excited to have Magic Nate back in Centerburg! He performed last year during Summer Reading and was a massive hit.  His unique style of magic is a combination of classic and street styles and is a perfect fit for all ages. You may have seen him elsewhere as he is a very busy professional entertainer and travels extensively to perform his magic.  This show will last approximately 30 minutes and is appropriate for all ages. The show will be held upstairs from the library in the Village Council Chambers.

Join us from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm! Have you heard about Silent Reading Parties? Many of these have sprung up around the country, and we have had patrons request that we try one out here.  These events allow you to read in public alone, but together.  It has been described as "a silent party where everyone reads!"  Everyone 18 and older is invited.  So, bring a book to read or choose one from here and plan on joining us.  There will be yummy snacks and mocktails, too.  Grab your book, snacks and find a cozy place to read in our library.

We are beyond excited to have renowned author, Mindy McGinnis, visit us in Centerburg.  Join us at 6:30 upstairs from the Library in the Village Council Meeting Room for this amazing event.   Mindy is an Ohio author who has many books ranging from Young Adult, Thriller, Mystery and more! She is also an Edgar Award-winning author and even wrote with James Patterson.  Hope to see you there!

The Centerburg Public Library opened its doors on March 24, 1924. Stop by from 2:00 - 4:00 pm to celebrate our 100th anniversary!   There will be snacks, photo displays, reminiscing, and amazing mementos.  Also, we will be putting up our sign outside in front of the library at 2:30. Did you know that the Library was started by a group of women called The Alpha Club?  Even 100 years ago, they realized that a library plays an important role in every community.  Join the Board of Trustees and Staff to celebrate our 100th year.  

Join the Spring Reading Challenge! Pick up our special bookmark and color a flower (there's only 2!) on it for each book you read during March. Return the completed bookmark to us by March 30th at 3 pm to receive a special treat! All teens and adults are invited to participate in this challenge.  Each person may receive one treat.

Today is the last day to turn in your Winter Reading Challenge Bingo Card to receive a cool prize! Did you get a BINGO? If so, turn your card in! Cards must be turned in by closing time of 3 pm.

All ages are invited to join the Winter Reading Challenge. It starts on January 2 and runs through the end of February. Simply pick up a reading log from us and color in a snowman for each 15 minutes that you read.  When you have colored all of the snowmen, return the log to us and receive a small prize.  All completed logs will be entered in a random drawing for a $20 Amazon gift card.  You may complete as many logs as you like.  Deadline for turning in logs for the drawing is March 3 at 6 pm. Winner of the drawing will be announced March 4.
