Special Event

Are you are Pre-K through 5th grade?  Would like to have someone listen to you read? Bring in your own book or we can help you select one.  A staff member will sit with you for 15 minutes and listen to you read.

We will be hosting a Pop-Up LEGO Build from 1:00-1:45 pm.  We will bring the LEGOs and you can bring your imagination!  Meet at the gazebo and all ages are invited.  Please call with questions.

Today at 6:00 pm is the deadline to turn in reading logs for daily prizes!  Also, this is the deadline for earning tickets for the Grand Prizes. Join us at the "End of Summer Reading Party" today at 6:30 where we will announce the Short Story Contest winners and the Grand Prize Winners.

Join us to assemble and decorate a small birdhouse!  We will supply you with everything you will need to complete your project and you will have an amazing birdhouse to take home.  All ages are invited to attend but event is geared towards preschool to adult. Meet behind the gazebo.  You may bring chairs or a blanket to sit on, if you wish.  There are a limited number of birdhouse kits available.   Please call with questions. **If weather is not good or looks questionable, please call ahead as event may be canceled or delayed**

Stop by to hear a bit about owls and owl pellets! Then....drumroll, please.....we will be dissecting owl pellets! All ages are invited to attend but content will be geared to preschool through adults.  Meet behind the gazebo and bring chairs or a blanket, if you wish.  There are a limited number of owl pellets available.  Please call with questions.   **If weather is not good or looks questionable, please call ahead as event may be canceled, delayed or moved inside.**

It's time for our annual Used Book & DVD Sale!   All items will be available for a donation.  There will be items that have been donated to us and also items that we no longer use here at the library.  Plan on stopping by for some great bargains! There will also be some very old books available at this sale. The sale will begin at 10:00 am each day and will end 30 minutes before closing. Please check our hours of operation for the day you plan to attend. Event will be located in the meeting room for the entirety of the week.

Join us Fridays at 11:00 for Walk & Talk.  Meet at the "selfie spot" (in front of Pizzaburg) on the trail.  All ages are invited to meet up and walk with several of our staff members. However, we do ask that those under the age of 18 be accompanied by an adult.  You may also choose to bike, scooter or use any means to join us!  Adults with strollers are welcome, too.  We will walk about 20 minutes out and 20 minutes back.  Please call with questions. **If weather looks bad or questionable, please call ahead as event may be canceled**

Stop by to pick up a super fun interactive movie kit for The Polar Express!  Each kit contains enough items for a group of 4. If you have a larger group, let us know and we can put in extra "goodies" so that you may all join in on the fun. Items contained in each kit include an interactive movie script, hot cocoa packets, bells and MORE! The Polar Express movie is available on streaming services or you may check out one of our DVDs, if you like.  The kit doesn't contain the movie. Plan on watching the movie and following along with the interactive script.

Centerburg's Trick-or-Treat is set for this evening 5:30-7:00.
