Special Event

Stop by to hear a bit about owls and owl pellets! Then....drumroll, please.....we will be dissecting owl pellets! All ages are invited to attend but content will be geared to preschool through adults.  Meet behind the gazebo and bring chairs or a blanket, if you wish.  There are a limited number of owl pellets available.  Event will last approximately 30 minutes. Please call with questions.   **If weather is not good or looks questionable, please call ahead as event may be canceled, delayed or moved inside.**

Please join us to celebrate the 43 year library career of Chriss White.  Chriss has risen through the ranks and has been a Volunteer, Clerk, Children's Librarian and Assistant Director. Chriss retired in September 2021 and we are so pleased to finally be able to celebrate her in the manner she deserves.  Stop by to share a memory and let her know how she has influenced you in her years here.

Meet with a staff member at 1:00 pm at the gazebo to have about 30-45 minutes of silent reading.  Ages 8 and up are invited to bring a book to read.  It is strongly recommended that children be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is a come-and-go event, so you may stay for just a bit or for the entire time. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on, if you wish.  However, if you are looking for an all-adult group that meets to read alone but "together" and has great snacks and mocktails? Staff members will be reviewing new books and old favorites on Instagram and Facebook with postings at 11:00 each Wednesday! View the posts at your convenience and get ideas for your "To Be Read" list.

The Library Board of Trustees will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, June 2 at 4:30 pm.  This is a change from their usual meeting time of the second Tuesday of each month. Please call with questions.

April 3 - 9 is National Library Week! Stop in to pick up a treat and take a guess at the number of bookworms that are in the jar.  You may just win a $10 Amazon card! 

It's Travel and Tourism Week 2026! Stop by this week to grab a travel related book bundle. Each bundle will have a theme and you will receive a special treat for checking out each bundle! Bundles will be available for every age group. So, if you are really planning a trip or just looking to broaden your horizons via books then "Book Bundles" are a fun way to go!

Do you love the movie Encanto as much as we do? Stop by to pick up a fun take-home Encanto Activity Kit! Each kit has several movie related activities including items to grow your own sunflower.  Each kit has supplies for one person. Supplies are limited and when they are gone, they are gone. Kits are geared to toddler/preschool/younger elementary ages. 

All ages are invited! Bring your mom or any other special people in your life for fun snacks and activities! This is a come and go event, so feel free to drop by anytime between 10 am and 3 pm.  Please call with questions.

April is Stress Awareness Month. Plan on stopping by anytime to use our supplies to do some journaling or coloring. We also welcome you to just stop in for some quiet time.  You may also pick up a coloring sheet or journal to take home.  There will be coloring sheets available that are appropriate for all ages, including adults.  There will also be free journals available that you may decorate here using our supplies. We will have a puzzle set up that you can drop by and work on.  Then, check out the special display of books on the topic. Please call with questions
