Special Event

February is Library Lovers Month! Stop by any Saturday this month to enjoy snacks and activities.  All ages are invited to participate as we share our love of libraries with you.  Please call with questions.

There are Yetis hidden all over our library! The Yeti, in Himalayan folklore, is an ape-like creature believed to inhabit the Himalayan mountain range in Asia. In western popular culture, the creature is commonly referred to as the Abominable Snowman. Can you help us find them all? If you can locate all of them, you will win a prize! This is a fun activity for all ages and we invite entire families to join the search. Stop in anytime during our regular hours to begin your search!

Join Tina and Anna as they host Santa on Facebook LIVE! Santa will read your letters and answer your questions, too. He will even read a book!  *Remember that due to Santa's busy schedule, this is a virtual only event and you will not be able to see Santa in person.*

The lighting of the tree in the Gazebo beside the library is set for 5:30 pm. It will be done by Centerburg High School students and there will also be a choir and caroling. 

We are pleased to be participating as a stop on the 2024 Cookie Walk.  This is a great family event that is sponsored by Heart of Ohio Business Association (HOBA).  Families will start at the gazebo and be given a bag, map of the route and punch card.  They will then walk around the downtown area collecting one cookie from each stop and have their punch card stamped. Join Tina and Valorie as they have some fun connecting the dots between a good fiction book and a great recipe.  During "Cook the Book," they will discuss a fiction book and then demonstrate a recipe that was inspired by that book.  This will be a seasonal event on YouTube that you may view at your convenience.  You may find our YouTube channel by searching Centerburg Public Library on YouTube or by following the link  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdxQqWiT6GLjngWwYkJJLiA

Everyone ages 6 and over is invited to come and play Book Bingo.  It will be played with traditional Bingo cards and when you get a B-I-N-G-O, you will pick a free book from our huge selection to take home and keep! There will be books for all ages and interests. Entire families are invited to come and play. This event will last about 30 minutes and even non-winners will leave with a treat.  Plan on joining us for this fun and  family friendly event.  Please call with questions.

Stop by to pick up your free 2024 Holiday Recipe Book.  The book contains recipes submitted by library staff, patrons and community members.  Making a yearly Holiday Recipe Book has been a long tradition here at the library and we are very proud to be able to offer it again this year.  Books are limited to 2 per family and extra copies may be requested to be sent via e-mail.  Supplies are limited.
