Special Event

Today is International Coffee Day! Celebrate by stopping in to make your own cup of coffee using our supplies and Keurig.  You may also bring your own cup of coffee from home or a local shop.  Enjoy your coffee and relax while doing one or two of our coloring pages.  We will have all of our markers and colored pencils out for you to use.  Don't like coffee? We will also have hot cocoa that you can make.  

Celebrate your love of books by stopping by today between 10 - 6 to pick up a "Take and Make" bookmark kit.  You may also wish to participate in our Book Swap.  Bring a gently used book and swap it for one of our other gently used books.  It's a fun time and a great way to celebrate National Book Lover's Day! Stop by anytime during our regular business hours to see all the submissions for our amazing Tiny Art Show!  People of all ages have used the mini canvas that we gave them to create some awesome art.  This is a non judged art show. Stop by to see all the wonderful creativity that went into each of these pieces of art! 

**All supplies have been picked up and none remain!*All ages are invited to participate in our fourth annual Tiny Art Show! Beginning September 2, stop by to pick up your free mini canvas to create your own masterpiece at home.  Need paints and a brush? Just ask.  You may also use any supplies you have at home to make your mini canvas uniquely yours!

Stop by anytime this week to do our fun Back to School Treasure Hunt!  Search the library for pictures of the school supplies on the treasure hunt list.  All ages are invited to participate for a chance to win a $10.00 Amazon gift card.  Winner will be randomly chosen from all participants and posted August 14th in library.

For the month of July, the Board of Trustees will be meeting on July 6 at 4:30.  In August, we will return to the usual meeting schedule of 2nd Tuesday of the month at 4:30.  Please call with questions.

Have you every thought about writing your own story?  With the Summer Reading Short Story contest, you can write your own fictional short story to share with the community! Everyone who submits a story has a chance to win the prize for your age group. Age groups for this year's contest are : Pre-K - K,  1st - 2nd grade, 3rd - 6th grade, 7th - 12th grade and Adult.  Pick up the Contest Rules and Guidelines at the library for all of the details.  All submissions are due by July 18th at 3:00 pm.  Please call or stop by with questions.

If you participated in our Summer Reading Program...come to the party! We will be meeting next door to the library behind the gazebo. There will be announcements regarding the winners of the Short Story Contest, Grand Prize Drawings and ice cream! If weather is bad, event will be moved inside.  Please call with questions.

Meet at the "selfie spot" on the trail near Pizzaburg.  All ages are invited, but those under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult.  We will be taking a 30 minute trail walk (15 minutes out and 15 minutes back) to find some of the items on our checklist. Can't join us? Just pick up a scavenger hunt sheet at the library that day or after and complete it whenever you like.
