Preschoolers and school age children and their families are invited to join in as a staff member reads aloud from a Juvenile Fiction book. We will read at least the first chapter or as much as we can read in 20 minutes. We will read from a different book each session. Books will be chosen that are appropriate for the age group and you might decide to check out a few books to take home! You are welcome to bring your lunch or a snack with you. This is a great way to see if you would like reading certain books from authors that you may not have considered before. The research shows that being read to helps children in many positive ways, including: strengthening memory and comprehension, reducing stress and helping with fluency. Please call with questions.
