Centerburg History Presentation

Local Historian and Library Board Member, Gloria Parsisson, will be leading a Centerburg history presentation this evening. Gloria is a great source for local and accurate history of Centerburg (and beyond!). Come learn about the early days (1780-1830) of a European settlement of this area before it became Hilliar, Bloomfield, Liberty and Milford Townships. This will be a discussion group, sharing what information we have and seeking a better understanding of what motivated folks to move here and create a new life. We will discuss development of roads, the first schools and churches and generally what the communities were like. Come with your questions and stories! There will be additional programs in August 2026 (covering 1830-1880) and November 2026 (covering 1880-1930).
