Plan on joining us for two great children's programs at the library. Story Time is for children who are 3-5 years old. Stories, crafts and songs are just part of the fun! This is a great time for your child to make new friends and discover a love for the library. Choose a session that best fits your schedule: Monday Evenings 6:30-7:00 or Tuesday Mornings 10:30-11:00. Lap Sit is for babies, toddlers (up to 36 months) and their favorite adult to attend together. Songs, stories and a simple craft are included.
The Library will be showing the movie, The Fault in Our Stars on Friday, November 21st at 7:00 p.m. The movie will be shown at the library in the community room. Attendees must be at least 13 years old to view the movie WITHOUT an adult, those under 13 can view the movie accompanied by an adult. Snacks will be available during a very short intermission. Door prizes will include a hardback copy of the book, a movie poster and a Subway gift card. Please plan to attend this event and experience one of this years most talked about movies.
The Fall Festival that was held on September 27 was a big success. There were over 100 people in attendance and the weather was spectacular. Those attending made fall crafts and there was also a demonstration and tasting of homemade applesauce. The children enjoyed face painting, too. The Centerburg Joint Recreation District provided free popcorn and face painting was provided by local teens, Andrew Dyer and Gavin Hinkle.
