We are hosting a Fall Festival on Saturday, September 27 from 2-4 pm. The event will take place on S. Clayton St. (along side of the library) and includes fall crafts such as pinecone bird feeders, apple stamping and spin art. There will be a demonstration and tasting of homemade applesauce and face painting, too! Community members involved include Centerburg Joint Recreation District, Centerburg High School's FCCLA group and Nathan Shepard with his "Stick It to Me" food truck.
Plan on joining us for two great children's programs at the library. Story Time is for children who are 3-5 years old. Stories, crafts and songs are just part of the fun! This is a great time for your child to make new friends and discover a love for the library. Choose a session that best fits your schedule: Monday Evenings 6:30-7:00 or Tuesday Mornings 10:30-11:00. Lap Sit is for babies, toddlers (up to 36 months) and their favorite adult to attend together. Songs, stories and a simple craft are included.
During the month of September the library staff will be accepting non-perishable, unexpired food items in lieu of cash to pay off fines. Please bring in an amount of food that equals the amount of fines. Any expired food items brought in will be returned to the patron for disposal. All items collected will be donated to the Centerburg branch of ISS. Lost items can not be waived by bringing in food; only fines. Support a great cause while getting your account down to a zero balance.
